Joe Delaurentis Builds Connecticut on the River
This
beautiful home, being built with a view of the Connecticut river in
Haddam, CT has both common rafter framing and a hammer beam truss bent.
The common rafter segment was
used so that timber joists from the balcony could cantilever out over the great room.
The exposed king post truss just outside the great room is supported by extended plate beams and braces, announcing to the world that this is truly a unique home.
Builder and ITFB member, Joe Delaurentis, worked with TFC designers to develop plans for bid. Three bids were solicited and Okanagan Timber Frame was selected based on price and quality. Panel bids were solicited and Foard Panel was the ultimate supplier. TFC arranged for delivery of a good quality spruce tongue and groove decking for 2nd floor and roof areas. Read more >>
